Abstract
The world of brewing is rapidly changing. The pressure for greater brewing knowledge has exploded. People are continuously innovating in every aspect of their businesses. Most brewers wear many hats, finding themselves involved in marketing, dealing with logistics, mechanics and technology, legal matters, contract negotiation, or human resource management, all the while trying to create some of the most complex beers in the world. The need to understand these fields of study has outgrown the structure in place to provide the expertise and experience. In response, the MBAA established the Higher Education Committee.
