Abstract
Economic considerations govern analysis of brewing processes in the next five to ten years. Several illustrations of alternative ways of modifying conventional operations with economical advantages are given, including discussion of hop extracts, batch versus continuous fermentation, repairing an old plant over buying a new one, installation of in-place cleaning, all with predictions of what will be important for brewing in the next few years..
