The three E's of plant safety - education - engineering - expense

Abstract
Education Successful safety programs can be economically advantageous to the company as well as being a humanitarian requirement in considerations of protection of plant personnel. Engineering Review at a general level---with examples---of some aspects of the engineering of plant safety. Expense "E" of Safety Analysis of the costs of personal injuries is presented and related to the necessity for controlling insurance premium rates.
