Hannchen barley production in Oregon . . . Its future

Abstract
The problems of maintaining a large supply of usable Hannchen barley in the Klamath and Willamette Valley areas of Oregon have been recognized by the Oregon Agricultural Experiment Station and the Malting Barley Improvement Association. Research funds have been provided by both organizations to develop ways to maintain this barley type until an acceptable substitute becomes available.
