Abstract
This paper discusses stainless steel alloys in a number of capacities and in respect to various characteristics. Considered are basic qualities of stainless steel, the effects of welding, methods of preventing sensitization, causes of stress corrosion cracking, machinability, and comparative properties of stainless steel tubing and pipe.
