The technology of absolute microfiltration
J. L. Dwyer
Abstract
The art of filtration is one of the oldest of chemical processing techniques; but confusion and misunderstanding concerning the differences between depth and screen filters, the two basic classes of filter media, are widespread and persistent. Yet an understanding of these subtle differences is one of the real keys to effective microfiltration. In this article the author takes a detailed look at these differences and shows exactly why an effective combination of depth and screen filtration is necessary for consistently good results.
