Preparation of the glc columns for beer analysis.

Abstract
Large bore open tubular columns provide high resolution and sample load which makes them particularly attractive for flavour analysis and component characterization. They provide advantages found in neither the small bore open tubular columns not the traditional packed columns. An easily followed but detailed procedure is presented for cleaning and coating large bore columns along with some observations on the utility and limitations of these columns for the analysis of beer flavour.
