Abstract
The treatment of dry malt prior to milling in a dry malt mill by water sprinkling is discussed. Possibilities of converting old six roller malt mills for water conditioned grist is described. The operation of modern six roller malt mills with 1 or 2 sieve boxes for barley, wheat, oat and sorghum is explained in detail.
