Abstract
Cleaning and filling processes of single valve kegs are discussed. The evolution of kegging operations from tar lined barrels to modern stainless steel kegs is reviewed. Continued caustic and subsequent acid cleaning phases are proposed to attack organic as well as inorganic residues. Recent developments in high speed kegging are outlined.
