Abstract
A common problem with smaller boilers that see intermittent use in small breweries is severe pitting corrosion due to oxygen intrusion in off-line steam systems. New-generation filming amine products are now available to provide improved protection from oxygen corrosion in intermittently operated boiler systems and reduce the potential for scale buildup.
