Abstract

Over the past year, generative artificial intelligence (AI) has experienced explosive growth and is poised to impact numerous industries, including the brewing sector. This article introduces the concept of generative AI and its advancements, such as OpenAI's GPT series, and discusses their applications in a brewery setting. Ten guidelines are presented for effectively formulating prompts with AI, using practical examples related to breweries to illustrate the points and optimize interactions while extracting valuable insights. The future prospects of AI in brewing also are explored, highlighting cutting-edge advancements such as code development, external resource integration, and the concept of utilizing agent groups in AI. Lastly, the importance of a human-centric approach to incorporating AI in the brewing industry is emphasized, striking a balance between technology and tradition in this ever-evolving, creative realm.
